 ‘Musicworks’ have provided keyboard tuition at Stokesley School over the past eight years. Currently nearly 20% of pupils taking instrumental / vocal tuition in school have keyboard lessons. Pupils enjoy manipulating a variety of sounds and styles within their music as well as creating their own arrangements. They are able to develop their skills within lessons to play for their own enjoyment or can be supported to prepare for GCSE performances and external examinations.

My grandson Marcus who has learning difficulties wanted to get more out of his small keyboard and was recommended to Musicworks. Under Dan Shield´s exellent and very sympathetic care his progress has been impressive with the teaching tailored to his needs with Dan arranging the theme music that Marcus wants to play. He has now upgraded to a bigger keyboard and getting to grips with written music.

So enjoyable are the lessons that he is continuing them even though he has left school.
